"Lion's Gate Entertainment [AMEX/TSE - LGF] must be celebrating with a respectable five Oscar nominations announced Tuesday morning by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. The Hollywood Reporter noted on CNBC-TV, earlier in the day, that both "Gods & Monsters" (Lion's Gate) and "Shakespeare in Love" (Miramax) would strongly benefit at the box office if nominated - more screens would open up across North America for these pictures.
