OK G.S., that point is well taken.
As long as everyone understands that, from a legal standpoint, an informal inquiry (which will probably never be officially "closed" because it was never really "opened") is not an "investigation" (I know you know the difference G.S.), and that a trading halt is a serious step reserved for outright scams, I'm prepared to live with the uncertainty in the very short term and I think everyone else on the thread should, too. Anyway, I think the company's press release yesterday was very nicely done and addressed most of the broad issues. A little detail on contracts to the SEC, which the company may already have provided, and we should be on our way. The Commission's goal is not to negatively affect the market for the stock (I know, Calypso, I've intentionally split an infinitive <gg>) once it has gotten the company to correct its errors, assuming (as I do) that they were honest mistakes... at least from the COMPANY'S standpoint. I'm not so sure that the PR firm didn't know (it SHOULD'VE) that it was pushing the envelope too far. |
