If that was the day I'm thinking of, I'm afraid you were victimized by a glitch in the NASDAQ quotes service, which I doubt your broker is liable for. I put in a market short sell order on a stock ostensibly trading at 11 x 11 1/8 and got 10 5/8, where the market "really" was.

My broker (AMTD) has a disclaimer on the RTQs so I'm definitely SOL. (Happy ending for me, I got a profit anyway.)

The one that eats me was on the day of the Brazillian panic open last month. I requested a cancel of a market sell order a half hour before the open and it got executed anyway. Actually I had two such trades, but AMTD made one right. The other one I had no such luck on.
