From the EMC thread:

News briefs from Goldman Sachs conference:

"EMC (EMC) CEO Mike Ruettgers reiterated expectations that EMC, which did
sales of $4 billion last year, will generate revenue of $10 billion in 2001. He said
the company expects annual sales growth of 36 percent while the total market for
storage gear and software rises to $35 billion from some $12 billion today. A few
in Ruettgers' audience tried to find a cloud on the horizon after his speech. What
about decreasing information-technology spending because of the year 2000
computer bug? "I think people will continue to buy storage even if they freeze
some applications," Ruettgers said. "I don't see (Y2K) having an impact (on EMC
sales)." See related story."
