I wonder how the net stock plunges could affect MSFT's aggressive internet plans. Recently Bill Gates was quoted as admitting that although valuations are high, MSFT might have to make a move. A couple of days like this and maybe we will see that move soon.

Furthermore, it is in MSFT's interest to push its stock up high as possible for now--while they work on these deals.

I wonder if Greg Maffei, CFO, will try to do this tomorrow when he speaks at the Goldman conference. He is known to be the guy who tries his best to push this stock down. If by chance he changes his tone, you can bet MSFT has big plans and want a big PE to match.

BTW-This is the big news tomorrow as far as i am concerned not the general market sell off. He speaks at 7:45 AM if I am reading the schedule correctly.
