I believe he does, Rocket Scientist; I once saw a photo of him at his home observatory, with his Celestron C14 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. The polar axis was practically horizontal, which would put him near the equator. I would love to chat with him, Iridium phone-to-Iridium phone, if he had one. You'd think the folks at Iridium would give him one...Clive Cussler, too, since he keeps having his NUMA hero, Dirk Pitt, make calls on one!
