People on this thread were victims of negative spin today. The IEA report that cut their 1999 demand projection by 300,000 bpd, also cut their supply estimate by 200,000 bpd because of pressure on non-OPEC production. But the Bloomberg headline and article only mentioned lower demand, not lower supply. Beware the financial press on anything to do with oil. The negative spin and downright distortions about the oil market can threaten one's financial health.
