Why not put in an order @ 7 3/4? That way if it goes to 7 1/2 or 5/8, you will get filled. I don't think it will spend much time (if any) below 8 and if I'm right that any such move would be short and swift, having an order in might be necessary if you want to buy below 8. I think the stock will take off towards 10 on any good news and a big partnership announcement would put it at 12+ right away. Here is why I think that 8 is pretty much the downside: Big volume between 8 and 9 indicates institutional buyers. Buyers like this get real unhappy when they buy at 8 and the next day the stock is down on decent volume. If only a few shares trade below 8, the MMs can run the stops to about 7 1/2 but not much lower. Then after adding to inventory, the stock goes over 8 on the close and the MMs square their positions. When this stock finally does take off on positive news, the launch will be magnified by the sizeable short interest trying to cover. That's why I wouldn't hesitate to buy at around 8. Much more realistic upside than downside at this level.
