Hope you're not shorting PCS, cause it looks like
they are shooting to be the AOL of Wireless. Even
though it's probably not a takeover candidate, they
are the most (U.S.) spectrum-rich Wireless Co.
ever--and they're going after EVERYONE. Remember,
AOL's success was going after EVERYONE, not just
the high-end users. Matter of fact, they were #1
at making the internet affordable for everyone (not
just the privileged few. It was exactly when they
offered unlimited internet for 19.95 that their boom
began. They spent hundred of millions in free soft-
ware and, guess what, it paid off! Compare Echostar
(DISH) and America Online to Sprint PCS and you'll
get the picture. Name brand recognition associated
with all-you-can-eat value at a very affordable
price.
