Add one more to the list of would-be competitors whose corpse can now be found at the foot of one barrier to entry or another:

Chemical Bank: Actually had an operating system for a few years, distributed via Prodigy and privately branded to other banks. Sold out to CheckFree, which converted the entire base off of the Prodigy platform.
