AMD -- Three times it opened considerably less than the previous day's close on bad news and analyst downgrades. Each time I expected that it just couldn't go any lower.
This is one of the few stocks that I have ever been devoted to and held at least a small position for months. For all my devotion and holding, all my averaging down every time I thought it just couldn't go any lower; I lost about 30% in 10 days after holding for a couple of quarters.
I consider myself better off than those who've held this one for more than ten years. This stock is at about the same price it was then, (no splits either).
Just beware of 'marrying' a stock, because you'll tend to own it for better or for worse!
I will probably end-up buying back into this stock sometime soon, Watch out
