Italiana: How many shares of Etrade do you own and at what price? I agree with you that Etrade typically provides fine service but when they screw up, they REALLY screw up. Granted, I think day traders typically get more frustrated with them since they tend to trade more often. As for Etrade being "like clockwork" I agree completely! The problem is sometimes to clock breaks completely, or reports the wrong time, or simply stops and then starts up again, etc. They are improving certainly but surely all of the complaints they are getting indicate a fundamental problem that needs to be resolved. I am not short Etrade, but I am not long either. Still I am a Power Etrade user and think that if they could just get some of these issues resolved they really have a reasonable chance of claiming the #1 spot is five years or so.
