Robert/Tom,

Just to make you a little crazier, I have 2 ISPs I use to access my own web host site. Very often, one is slow and one lightning fast. Sometimes, one shows the "can't connect to server" message while the other contacts no problem. One ISP runs off UUNET. The other is Sprint/Earthlink which, I believe, runs off their own backbone (at least the Sprint lines do). The host also says its the ISP or backbone. I've seen programs that store your DNS lookups so your ISP doesn't have to do it when you call an IP address. Wonder is that might help?

BTW my host is Mindspring.

Alan
