Hi Bill,
thanks for all your info.. i'll look into the Options Advisor and the Technical Analysis thread looks really interesting.. i'm gonna try reading that more often. well, actually, i kinda know the basics of options trading. i've done a few trades in the past with Intel.. made a lot of cash at first, until i lost it all when the earnings came out and INTC dropped last month.
so now i'm gonna try intraday trading, which probabably involves more technicals than fundamentals.. correct me if i'm wrong. so right now, i kinda wanna learn when to buy and sell, how to predict highs and lows of the day, timing, volatility..things like that. i never took a business course in my life, so any advise will be appreciated. at this point, even if i can pull a couple bucks off each trade, then i'm satisfied. oh, and another thing. i'm trading through waterhouse at the moment. their options commissions aren't too bad, but since i'm playing with very few contracts and doing daily trades, i'm kinda looking for cheaper commissions. lombard is ok, but their realtime option quotes over the WEB are a bit slow.. so if you have any recommendations, i'd love to hear them. waterhouse is $30 base and $1.25-3.90 per contract (more like over $3.00 usually with what i'm trading!). lombard is better with $3.00 per contract with no base commission. i don't mind that at all. but what i need is a good FAST WEB trading site. i don't enjoy being put on hold when trading on the phones.
well, hope to hear from ya soon! |
