Shuffle Master's ACE Shuffler Receives Regulatory Approvals; Let's Make A Deal Submitted to Nevada Gaming Board
Company's Next Generation Product Approved by Nevada Gaming Control Board and GLI; Let's Make a Deal Begins Regulatory Review Process
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Shuffle Master, Inc. (Nasdaq: SHFL - news) today announced that the Company's next generation single deck shuffler product, the ACE(TM), has received approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Gaming Laboratories, Inc. These approvals pave the way for the product to be marketed in twenty two North American gaming jurisdictions, with additional submissions awaiting approval in New Jersey, Mississippi and various international jurisdictions.

Joseph J. Lahti, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Shuffle Master, stated, ''We are very excited to begin the commercial roll-out of the ACE. It represents a significant technological leap over our current single deck product, and an opportunity for us to generate additional lease revenue. There are approximately 1,100 previously sold single deck units that will qualify for trade-in for ACE leases. Benefits to casinos include increased shuffling speed, improved security, reduced size and attractive design, programmability, and overall ease of use.''

In related news, the Company reported that during January it completed the first in-market test of its new continuous shuffler in a London casino. The product was also shown at the International Casino Exhibition and received an enthusiastic response from potential customers.

Separately, the Company reported that Let's Make A Deal(TM), the video slot game developed jointly with Bally Gaming, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliance Gaming Corp., has been submitted to the Nevada Gaming Control Board for review and approval. ''The major development phase of Let's Make A Deal is done, and the product is now in the Nevada regulatory review process. We look forward to the commercial launch of this very exciting product,'' Lahti added.
