HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 5, 1997--Intel Corporation today announced significant price reductions up to nearly 40 percent in Fast Ethernet network adapters and of nearly 20 percent in Fast Ethernet print servers. The moves continue Intel's momentum in delivering a wide range of high-performance networking solutions that are economical and easy to manage. Intel's 10/100Mbps PCI Fast Ethernet adapters start at $84 each, lower than most competitors' 10Mbps Ethernet adapters. Intel also reduced its price on Intel's NetportExpress PRO/100 Print Server to $499, making it the industry's first Fast Ethernet print server for under $500. The price reductions are effective on Feb. 10, 1997. "Just as Fast Ethernet technology removes obstacles to high-performance networking, Intel is further easing the path to Fast Ethernet in 1997 with new products, programs and prices," said Frank Gill, Intel executive vice president.
