Anyone out there have any insights regarding flatbed scanners?
I'm open to suggestions regarding brand and size. Other than price, is there a downside if I go with a scanner that's larger than the normal 8.5 x 11?

Criteria:
- All fans used in case must have ball bearings and have tachometer capabilities.
- Format HDD to FAT32
- USB modem will be tested to insure it's possible to dial out with it in USB mode.
