Had the same experience and except that I also needed to be transferred to another extension once I finally did reach someone. So what does that person do put be right back into the incoming calls. It was over 2 hours before I finally did reached the person I wanted to talk with. I was setting up a Roth IRA and they had to screw it up. It took them over 6 weeks to get it right. I made at least a dozen calls. What a joke. I too have lost money because of their ability to screw it up. I can't believe that they have the money to buy SuperBowl Advertisements, or should I say the balls. How dare them to go after new customers with they don't have the capacity to handle the ones that they currently have. Checkout the "etrade sucks" thread. Was contacted by a reporter for the WSJ Interactive edition for a few posts that I made there. Boy, the article she wrote almost sounded like an endorsement of etrade. Sorta like when AOL was having so many troubles with customer complaints and their stock went up. Someday we will all trade this way..... Is there anyone out there that is happy with their online brokerage. The only one that I have heard that seems to be doing OK is Waterhouse. I have thought about using Datek because they have plenty of capacity but they do not do pennies or at least not the last time I checked. ftm
