Toronto, CANADA - (CFGL: Canadian Dealing Network) The CanFibre Group Ltd.
is pleased to announce the receipt of its first load of urban, post
consumer waste wood for use in its Riverside, CA Medium Density Fibreboard
facility. The first 15 tons of waste wood were loaded into the raw material
storage facility and will be used for commissioning of the wood preparation
equipment. The urban waste wood will continue to be delivered to build
inventory in advance of start-up of the facility which is anticipated in
late Spring 1999 with commercial grade AllGreen being available for initial
shipment by mid-summer. Commissioning and operator training has already
commenced on North America's leading state-of-the-art panelboard plant.

"Clean urban waste wood is a critical element of the facility and we are
very pleased with the performance of our suppliers Apollo Wood Recovery and
Sunset Fibre in ensuring that only the cleanest, highest quality wastewood
fiber is delivered to the site," stated CanFibre President Chris Carl.

The Riverside AllGreen® facility uses patented steam press technology to
produce high quality MDF using phenolic based resins instead of the normal
urea formaldehyde resins used by most MDF manufacturers around the world.
CanFibre's standard ALLGreen® MDF offers a combination of features never
before available in a standard board. These include: no incremental
formaldehyde emissions; additional moisture resistance for improved
stability; and a "green" label giving value added producers a distinct
market advantage for products based on AllGreen®. Additionally, ALLGreen®
MDF can be specially ordered with a mix of the following premium features:
Ultra Moisture Resistant, a new norm for the industry provides the ultimate
in dimensional stability; Ultra Fire Resistant, a Class 1, UL rating
coupled with standard AllGreen MDF features at a very affordable price; and
Ultra Lite, solves critical weight problems without loss of strength or
screw holding ability.
