Hey Anthony - Question for the guru - What is the difference in a "sell short" position and one that is "sell, not long". The reason why I ask is that, when I shorted SATH this AM, I accidently pressed the "sell" button and not the "sell short" button. The trade executed anyway and in effect I am still short the stock. The broker told me that all I have to do to flatten the position is "buy" the stock back not "buy to cover".

The reason I am interested is that E*Trade has listed SATH as non-shortable so you cannot "sell short"; however, it did allow me to "sell". Did I do something illegal, or is this a loophole in the system? Curious what your thoughts would be on this?

Thanks,
Moby.
