It says on the rambus home page that rdram is 8 times faster per pin than other high speed alternative drams. Since, rambus uses half as many pins the speed increase is a factor of four. I recall from long ago technical news that rdram is 4 times faster. Although I have no articles to prove it. Just memory. It's impressive how incorrect so many journalist are in stating facts in their news releases.
