Sure the taxes are being increased. Two new tax brackets added. They added a hidden tax by putting a 28% cap on deductions above a certain income. He's added or increased over 50 taxes in his new budget. Those Education IRAs are a pittance for college as are his Elder Care tax credits. They don't provide 10% of what's needed. What's worse is they create new entitlements which may be increased much more in the future. SS started out as a very small tax.
