Ok couldn't resist - back in at 52. However, I'm hearing rumors that APEX is not doing well. Those techy types of you check this out: altera.com Here's what's changed (real quietly): 1. Addition of APEX 20K E. 20K now pared back to only 3 members. 2. 20K feature set cut - no CAM for example (probably a don't care) 3. 20K only supports 1 Vccio - ie doesn't support multiple standards 4. 20K only supports LVTTL & LVCMOS - not real flexible 5. 20K PLL flexibility limited No date is given for the first 20KE device. The 20K (with reduced features) is due out this quarter. Sounds like they are struggling to keep up with XLNX and Virtex. Still, at $52 it's a steal - shouldn't be a $20+ price gap between the two.
