Overly ebullient!? Give me a break! Most long time LGND holders have not gotten many reasons to get excited, until recently. It's been a long hard hold!

But, the tone of your note was insultive, not a friendly reminder for investors to restrict their ebullience.

There are a lot of exciting things happening "our" way. There have been several analysts come out in favor of LGND. Ligand's had two "cancer" drugs approved, with all kinds of "off label" speculation.

"Off label" is going to be a huge bonanza for those biotechs that have drugs targeting major lines of diseases, IMHO. It means that drug companies can get FDA approval for new applications for their products, without going thru the normal 10+ year development and cost. I don't think that the market has fully digested the true impact of the new off label rules.

Also, there has been a lot more interest shown in LGND, and many articles published about Ligand.

Why begrudge the stockholders a little ebullience and a little hope. Personally, I am very happy with Ligand's pipeline progress, and recent stock movement.

In perspective, Mother Market is rewarding "revenue producing" drug stocks with very high multiples. Ligand is not going to be a pre-revenue stock very long.

Anyway, if you don't think that investors should get too excited about a stock, say it. I don't think that it is decent to criticize investors for posting a lot more messages, after being disappointed for so long, especially when we are finally seeing a ray of hope!

By the way, so you don't think that I am too one sided, I wish you the best of luck with your LGND investment! <g>
