Winzer, I'm back at home and I tried to contact NFM but the only person in the office was the secretary--or, at least, she said that the person who I needed to talk with was out of the office.
However, I do have a small bit of news and I will call NFM back later this week or early next week. First of all, NFM's only telephone number given out to the public is 1-800-360-8006. The 1-416-361-1333 number is the FAX for WAVEX Corporation.
Next, I noticed, yesterday, in the news that NFX Gold, Inc. (55% owned by NFM) has gained approval of the Ontario Securities Commission of the terms of the joint venture with Fort Knox Gold. This was reported to the public on 9 February 1999 by NFX, not NFM. That means that the 30,000 foot fall drill program on The Larder Lake Property in Ontario can go forward, I suppose.
I will call NFM but I suspect that is the only specific information that anyone will be able to get from them, at this time. However, I intend to ask them about a time frame for earning income from WAVEX, the general finances and prospects of NFM, and if there are any new factors that the company knows of that we, the public, do not.
The reason that I don't expect a whole lot of information is that NFM will balance the public's need to know with the company's need to keep information quiet for strategic reasons. Also, for regulatory reasons NFM cannot put out a lot of information over the phone.
Even though I don't expect NFM to give me a lot of information, Winzer, it won't hurt to try. Are there any questions that you want me to ask NFM's officials, Winzer?
