Such tortured explanations to support a losing cause. It's time to change the subject and move on to other issues. I would like to see Republicans stand for something more than prying into other peoples private business (ie, sex, abortion, race, religion, etc, etc,). Now that the smoke and mirrors are gone, its time to face the music and prove they are not the self righteous hypocrites they now appear to be. For one, I hope they succeed, but not before the next election. A serious political defeat would dethrone the ideologues and elevate the pragmatists.
