I just wanted to add a "hear hear" to your post. Anyone approaching the oil patch with the notion of trading in the fashion of the tech sector is likely to be disappointed. I do not think they are even comparable. I have been in an accumulate-and-hold posture. I recently added RIG and SUN. This is quite the opposite of recent tactics I have employed in the DD and Comm sectors where velocity allows some shenanigans. But the truth is that even there, it has not been all that rewarding compared to some bright picks. (+18% since Jan 1.) One good pick could have way outperformed that. But it would not have been nearly as much fun either. <G>

Any other ideas in the Russell or about Zeev's Spring retrenchment forecast?
