<<do you think that the Republican Party can win back the people's trust before
the 2000 elections, >> Good question Robert The prevailing wisdom as put out by the republicans is that the public has this short attention span etc. This approach might just back fire. People read the papers and see this kind of thing. No body wants to be told that they are stupid. If the economy is still strong that will give the public the luxury of remembering. The republicans like to look at GBs' popularity and point out that he lost just a short time later. I see it differently. It's one thing to win a war that we are suppose to win but the economy is some thing else again. It's a tough call .But that's my opinion.
