As a business owner, I make $0 a week (zippo). I have 2 programmers that I pay $12,500/month each.
***Important point: I could probably get these guys cheaper if I gave them stock. However, MY STOCK IS MY MOST IMPORTANT ASSET!!!! In other words, IMO, companies that REALLY believe in themselves do NOT freely distribute their stock.***
I have backing from good old MSFT on this project and I am gambling on 7 figure contracts with major insurance companies down the road, IF things work out. Therefore, I am pulling out all stops. [BTW, the ALYD money is all IRA stuff, but I'm only 36 so what the heck.] If _I_ decide to go public (20-1 at this point), I'll let you all know <g>.
