And Jack, what's your take on the photo?

I'm so glad you asked.

Let me see.

First of all, it appears to have been taken with a Minolta sure-shot style camera. That's a camera with a fixed focal length lens, about f/2 aperture, and 1/60 or 1/30 second shutter speed.
The camera was moved slightly during the exposure.
The flash of the camera had multiple 'pre' flashes to reduce 'red eye'.
The flash was to the left of the lens opening.
WE are in room with 2 chairs lined up at a brown surfaced (almost folding table type) table.
The room probably serves as a conference room, since there is a light dimmer switch on the wall, next to the other 3 switches.
The overhead lighting is incandescent, not florescent due to the red shift on the wall as opposed to a green shift (this could be skewed by a scanner doing a poor color replication of the picture)
The Chairs are chrome plated plastic backed.
There is a Merlin style telephone sitting on the floor with 2 leds lit. It looks like they might have 3 or 4 lines.
There might be an answering machine on the floor next to the telephone, and behind the left most chair, since two lines are plugged into the wall phone socket.
There is a plain grey plastic trash can (as noted earlier by Jane)
The man in the photograph (MR CHIN) is wearing a blue blaser, gray trousers and a white shirt without a tie.
He is not wearing a wedding ring, and does not appear to have any expensive pens or kerchief in his upper coat pocket
Judging from the right side of the photo, this is not a closed off conference room, but kind of an open office style room. It appears to be an open hallway leading out to the right.
The documents in the man's hands look official.
.
.

OK, Jane, I'll kick it back to you for a little further critical analysis.

Jack
