Jane,
I will shout out the window, but only the ducks on the pond and the Lord Himself may hear, still that is more than enough, the ducks are just for atmosphere<G>. There now, Jane, did you hear me?

A fine evening it is indeed, but it doesn't hold a candle to the future on the new earth. How can we complain, when we have such great times here now and infinitely better time UNENDING, in our future.
I do not believe the vast majority of christianity has ANY idea of the wonderful future for believers beyond a bland, nebulous hope. Not that I claim any blueprint outside of the Bible; but there is so much scripture that has not been expounded properly, yet it is hidden only by (often willing) ignorance of the integrity of God's Word.
Yet even knowing a little of this great Hope, still I find myself impatient at the little details of this life far too often. Patience is indeed a slow learn for me!

There is so much to learn and as Solomon said ...of books and learning there is no end...still there is so very little of consequence that has been written about Christ's return and the third heaven and earth. So many of the popular books on this subject are mere political speculation and imagination! This they concentrate on, while missing what the Word has said about things to come.
Understanding the scriptures, much less the prophetic scriptures, is difficult, because we must operate with spiritual understanding given from God. This is not natural to our humanity. Our human logic will not cut it alone, but pridefully it wants to! Still, there need be no conflict between the two, but it is often the case, that there appears to be a conflict between logic and spiritual truth at first, until the understanding dawns by the light of Christ. It is just that our thoughts are not His thoughts, which are as far above ours as the heaven above the earth. We must let His thoughts dwell with ours and transform and make peace in our souls. Then we can know the truth and sometimes we understand the logic with time and patience.
Well, I am just meandering about here. Instead of doing that, I will attempt to put together some things that I know would bless people here concerning the "things to come". Things I have learned over thirty years of informal study. (That means I spent most of those thirty years unnecessarily pounding my head against immovable objects trying to force the truth out.....ah well, I said I am slow<G>)
Looking at the size of such a task I feel quite inadequate, and indeed I am.
Like any other christian, we hold this great treasure (of Christ) inside earthen vessels. But God has chosen the foolish and weak of the world, to confound the wise and the strong.
So if I fall on my face occassionally I don't care....I am just glad He chose all of us, for His family!

Good night and God Bless,

Roebear
