Assuming you are referring to Reply 24, don't confuse PET with MRI. They are very different beasts. PET requires the administration of very short-lived positron emitting isotopes and is used primarily at large research-oriented institutions. MRI does not require radioisotopes and is commonly used for diagnosis at "regular" hospitals. MRI used to be called nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMRI) but the word "nuclear" was dropped to remove the impression that nuclear radiation is involved.
