James and Co,

I just discovered to my surprise that
Wesco Financial is still public and trading with
a symbol WSC. That immediately raised some questions:

- What is the exact relationship between Berkshire and Wesco?
- If one buys Wesco, what is one buying?
- Is Wesco a cheap(er) way to participate in Berkshire
or Buffett-Munger expertise, or is it a dead-end company
that is not worth looking at? Why when we talk about
Buffett-Munger, we never mention WSC?

Anyone who has done homework on this one?
Sorry, I don't have time to dig right now, so I throw
the towel into James's and Michael's yard. :-))))

Thanks a lot

Jurgis - reading the OID recap of '98 BRK annual
meeting that was just sent to BRK shareholders. :-))))
