Communism died (despite all its mighty power) because of its disconnection from reality. Similarly the republican party will die too because of its disconnection from the main stream society (and this world for that matter)! I submit to you that the Republican party will eventually become (if not already) as insignificant (but obnoxious) as KKK, Nazis, White Supremists, etc.(thanks to the right wing religious extremists who have come to control the party of Abraham Lincoln).
