They are already doing this. 2 Qtrs ago COM$ announced a buyback for 10 Mil shares. In the first qtr of the buyback they only bought 1M shares. I don't remember how many they bought back last qtr. I'm sure their investment banker is getting busy in the market to finish this off. Tim A buy back by a cash solvent 3COM right now would accomplish a number of things and be a smart financial move to boot
