Rarebird, I'm inclined to agree with you, which is why I've been short now for about a week. I see 8500 as a great buying opportunity for the same reasons I saw last weeks action as a great selling opportunity e.g., the chart patterns. When I posted 'a great buying opportunity,' I was talking about a futures trading opportunity, I don't hold any stocks, the futures contracts are my portfolio..... why buy one or two stocks when you can buy and sell the entire portfolio in a single transaction? A 500 point move in the DOW represents about 80 points in the SPH, a very good buying opportunity, IMHO, if we ever get there. I also agree with you, the advance declines continue to deteriorate. If I don't see a good chart pattern, I won't buy anything. My Best. GZ
