About REL: You have to hand it to the Toronto Stock Exchange, they really blew this one. They halted trading in the stock because the price was declining rapidly without any news, which was probably the right thing to do, but then they re-instate trading after REL releases a very vague statement about a takeover. Is it any wonder so many people have lost confidence in the management of the TSE?

They should never have allowed trading to resume on REL based on the information made public because it puts the investment public at a big disadvantage. Only insiders know what the real story is, but investors are forced to guess what is happening behind the scene. Judging by the price action when trading resumed, even the floor traders were lost. It would seem from the price action that the company is going to go cheap, but it's not something you want to throw a dart in the dark at.

Good ole TSE -- they just never learn.
