Thanks for getting back to us- we were worried about you! My research has probably not been as extensive as it could be but as far as I know, only Valence and Ultralife are gearing up to produce solid polymer batteries that do not need an outer container for liquid electrolyte. I understand it has considerable safety and environmental advantages.

I understand that Sony is the $ volume leader with liquid electrolyte and cylindrical metal containers. Peter Barry, an Analyst for Deutshe Morgan G() (previosly C.J. Lawrence) has recently downgraded ULBI from buy to hold. I learned that he will be visiting Valence's Plant in Northern Ireland, with other analysts, in a few weeks.

I am interested to know if there are others offering solid polymer Li ion configurations. Was I correct in stating that Valence is the only Bellcore licensee that is partially owned by Bellcore? Could that mean that of all their choices, Bellcore placed their bet on Valence?
