David--

Offshore jurisdictions offer many solutions to domestic problems, whether your domicile is in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia or elsewhere. It is possible for offshore structures to be erected that will help you to achieve asset protection, tax deferment, confidentiality, diversification of investment and, some believe, insulation against the effects of Y2K.

Responsible offshore providers will not assist you to evade taxes or conceal assets from creditors. They will however, help you to take advantage of what is provided for under the legislation your country and that of the tax haven jurisdiction. Goals can be achieved through a variety of entities including International Business Companies, Trusts and Foundations.
