Watch List vs. Earnings Plays.. Remember the earnings plays are really nothing more than a watch list, although one with lots of potential for upside. It doesn't necessarily follow that every one of them should be considered a 'buy' because it's on the list. About 70-75% could possible trigger a 'buy' signal and I've mentioned it when they have either on the watch list and/or on the thread.

Holding through earnings is not advised, but I do it if its not a tech stock (i.e. FOX,YUM,TMC,TWX) I decided to hold AMKR because it's 'anticipatory upswing' was quite obvious since last week. IEE and ITDS I'm holding so far because of the extraordinary growth in these companies. In some cases I would hold a tech stock through earnings if its under 10 dollars a share and the growth estimated to be over 50%, but you have to take these stocks on case by case basis
