I have followed FAST for a few years now and have seen a trend that occurs within the month before earnings are announced. The stock goes down on whisper #s (the shorters jump in) and then rebounds--up to 20% or so when the earnings beat the street. I have only seen 1 time as far back as I can remember when the earnings came in lower and that was about a year ago--Q1 98? FAST is a great company with impeccable management. The decline in sales may be due to the problems with their Sign Division last year. They have also experienced tremendous growth and are probably settling into the groove now before the next surge. The last I checked, they only had a small share of the market and hence, more room to grow; Trust me, FAST management will most always find a way to beat the street and the quarter ends are a great time for in & out gains on this stock!
