Richard,
It appears that the 16-17 level is lending some support but there are a cople of fundamental answers I would like to see before I would jump
back in with both feet. The Pentium III launch could send AMD down again if Intel can come up with enough hype. Another thing that could hurt the stock is the lack of 450 MHz chips on launch of the K6-3. Haven't seen any 450 MHz K6-2s either.
After AMD takes the Pentium III gut shot and for some strange reason they announce the availability of 450 MHz K6-2s this month, I'll take a look. I don't expect many K6-3-450s this quarter so what they do ship and if they ship more than I think they will, then that's gravy.

The real wild card is the public take on the CPU ID. From what I gather, Intel is going to meet with privacy groups to try a smooth over. I don't expect Intel to be very successful. So if they haven't completely removed the feature they get an a$$ kickin'. Turning it off
just won't cut it with these groups. If I was AMD I'd be training reps to hit all the stores to inform salespeople of this "Intel Feature", if you get my drift. Some well placed "Big Brother Inside" ads could really put a crimp in Intels CPU ID.

Jim
