This board isn't very active but I'm hoping that somebody can answer the following question.

At 11:53 ET today, DGN was quoted at 17 1/16 x 17 1/4. The specialist lowered the bid to 17 and 100 shares traded. The specialist then lowered the bid to 16 5/8 and 3700 shares traded, also at 11:53 ET. It seems a little strange that the stock would gap intraday from 17 1/16 to 16 5/8 on only 3800 shares, especially given that the liquidity is reasonable and no news was released. The volume so far today has been about 70,000 shares. The stock quickly recovered and is now offered at 17. I haven't watched this stock trade very long and I'm wondering if this is typical behavior. I wouldn't expect a NYSE listed security with ample volume to trade in this manner. Does anybody have any ideas what happened?

Thanks,
Dan
