LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BUSINESS WIRE) - IMW Atlas Industries and Dresser-Rand Company have announced an exclusive teaming agreement to jointly serve the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle market. The goal of the cooperative effort is to compete more effectively in the CNG fueling station business. IMW Atlas will offer Dresser-Rand VIP series compressors for all large applications (over 150 hp) in the CNG fueling station market.
The VIP (valve-in-piston) compressor, first introduced by Dresser-Rand in 1994, is one of the company's most significant compressor innovations in recent years. Able to produce higher capacity with greater efficiency, the VIP has already been successful in the gas field industry, with over 100 compressors and over 300 cylinders in service. The VIP compressor can be designed for both lubricated and non-lubricated applications, and offers increased reliability.
