Dave, do I understand this right?

1. You placed a market sell order before the open.
2. The stock tanked shortly after the open.
3. You waited a long time but your market sell order never filled.
4. You called Datek to complain.
5. Datek said to cancel and renter the order.
6. Your new order got a terrible fill price.
7. You called Datek to complain, claiming you should have gotten the bid price at the open.
8. Datek offered to let you have the price that occurred 10 minutes into trading, reasoning that Datek sucks so bad that they normally can't fill market orders until 10 minutes into trading.

Dave, if you had a real broker, your market sell order would have been filled during the first minute of trading. This is typical Datek. However, it's the first time I've heard them admit that they can't fill orders during the first 10 minutes of trading. Isn't it a terrible attitude that they have? "Yeah, your order was lost on Island, but even if it wasn't lost we wouldn't have filled you anyway so you really didn't lose that much".
