To all: I have been getting PM, EM and reading all the bitching on this thread as to WHATS WRONG WITH TAVA. I have given it a lot of thought and here is my official answer.
Folks, TAVA has grown too big for its britches stock wise. The present and growing FLOAT is too great for the individual investor to sustain. Those of you who have been on this thread can probably remember my screaming about dilution back in 1997. I even managed to get people like Skip, CK, and TM mad at me over it. Then I THINK (forgot exact #'s) we had about 17MM shares 0/S and fully diluted about 20MM. Well, to get from where we were to where we are took money TAVA didnt have and the "lenders" were able to extract a tremendous price in warrants and the like. Now we are looking at I guess 24MM with likely another 1MM before its stemmed.
The MM's and others shorting this stock apparently realize our dilema and thus short with glee. So what can be done about it?? I see only one REASONABLY short way out. That is to continue to solicit Institutional interest. Those institutions which are known to take a large hunk and hang on to it till the fruit ripens. Warren are you listening?? I think they need to have institutions SUCK UP (no not you Monica) about 7-10 million additional shares. That would still leave enough outstanding stock to provide for a liquid market but also would limit the "Shorts" comfort range. I can see this happening probably by 12/31/99 as by then it should be obvious that TAVA has a successful POST Y2K business plan. I do truly believe that once one or two majors step in the herd will follow. IF this isnt followed the only other solutions I see are TAVA growing to such a HUGE size it can support its outstanding stock or a reverse stock split. I violently oppose a Reverse Stock Split on ANY GROUNDS and if they were to elect that they would earn my perpetual anger. I have been through those and RARELY are they successful. Its the sign usually of a loser not a winner.
Sadly, since I have come to this conclusion (stated above) I now seriously question whether a good PR program will supply much value for us. That means, in my mind, there is no QUICK FIX. Those looking for a fast buck might as well look elsewhere IMHO. However, those true investors of the Warren Buffet type likely have the opportunity to increase their net worth in this stock maybe 10 fold from these levels over the next 5-7 YEARS. Well folks, thats my answer, be glad to listen to yours. JDN
