Thanks jmac. I think all the hype about Intel's ability to maintain strong growth is silly.

Follows is a comment by Andy Grove:

Intel Corp sees no slow down in growth

DAVOS, Switzerland, Feb 3 (Reuter) - Intel Corp chief executive Andy Grove said he saw reason to expect a
slow-down in growth for the semiconductor industry or his company, the world's biggest computer chip maker.

"Our growth basically depends on the growth of the industry," Grove told a news conference at the World
Economic Forum in Davos.

"The growth of the industry has...for many years been in the high teens (as a percentage) and I really see no reason
in the long-term or the near-term for that number to be different," Grove said.

Intel last month reported that fourth quarter profits more than doubled to $1.9 billion, beating Wall Street estimates
and marking the seventh year in a row of record revenues and earnings.

Grove declined to give any more detailed forecast for 1997 when asked by reporters.
