Nat: You like to see higher than normal volume on a dead cat bounce... It means that new money is coming in to support the stock and prevent it from going lower... Graphically this looks like a "V" on the chart... Sometimes the price keeps going up on good volume, and sometimes it re-tests its low... This sets up a bullish double bottom formation "W"... If money predominantly pours into the large caps it could send the indexes higher but will mask the weakness in the overall market... Sooner or later the overall market will have its way... Jim
