From what you say, the old 255 format can be read by MSWIN, even after 2000. You didn't mention who your vendor was, but you said all worked. Do any use 4 digit data. Or is the number of digits the problem? It seems to work both ways.

The fear was that somehow 6.52 wouldn't read 255 type data. It does it now. I am sure they didn't put a clock inside to cut it off.
