No activity on this forum for a while, so I thought I'd see what I can stir up.
Three things that I see that are wrong with this stock:
1. Extremely high valuation P/B,P/S, forget P/E.
2. If this market really does take off (cell phone OS), Microsoft will hammer out new software to try to dominate it. I'm no fan of MSFT (in terms of their business practices), but they are already in this market with Windows CE. Also any portable OS has to seemlessly interface with desktop systems, and you know who dominates that market.
3. The display on a cell phone is too small to do much with in terms of Internet or any other text based application. At most, people may want to check their E-Mail, but other than that, I don't see it. Sure the cell phone companies are pushing it, but they have to, the cell phone market is becoming mature, and their margins are dropping fast, they need a new product. |
